Social Snaps: Oyster's 100th Issue Party

The dream event.

On Friday night, we celebrated the massive milestone that is our 100th issue. Our Publisher Monica Nakata started the magazine way back in 1994, and has seen her dream been fulfilled over the last 18 years. The party was a dream event, bringing together our staff members, friends and contributors. Held at The Grounds in Alexandria, delicious drinks such as the Absolut Greyhound (pink grapefruit and vodka — dream team), Duval Leroy champagne and Perrier flowed all night long. And as for food — there was lots of that too, with a cheese dream platter and buffet provided by the resaturant's chefs, along with mushroom-shaped magical cakes from the ice cream geniuses at Messina. KMS hair products were in the bathrooms to play with, and fantastic floral arrangements all around the venue were care of Garlands.

We drank, we danced and we even shed a few happy-tears. We look forward to our next 100 issues with you!
