Socials Snaps: Chanel 'The Little Black Jacket' Exhibition
Fashion Dream Team: Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld are in kahoots.
Chanel do "little black" wardrobe staples very well: the little black dress, the little black quilted bag, the little black jacket... Well, the latest project from the luxury house immortalises the latter, with Karl Lagerfeld photographing 113 different celebrities and personalities modelling the Chanel jacket.
"The Chanel jacket has become the symbol of a certain elegance, feminine, with an air of nonchalance, classic and timeless, that is of all times," said Karl Lagerfeld in a statement. With the help of Carine Roitfeld, Lagerfeld recruited the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker (who seems to be back in with the fashion crew), Georgia May Jagger, Alice Dellal, Clemence Poesy, Laetitia Casta, Virginie Ledoyen to appear in the images, all of which have been compiled in a book to be released by Steidl in April. The project launched in Tokyo earlier this week with an exhibition and a star-studded opening.
