Spotify Launches in Australia Today

Goodbye awkward silences, hello music.

Spotify announced today that it will launch in Australia. The digital music service has over ten million users worldwide, so it’s about time that we get in on the action too. Spotify has deals with all four major labels, APRA and heaps of independent labels too, and offers instant and on-demand access to 16 million songs, meaning that there will pretty much never be any awkward silences in your life again.

Spotify is available in Australia now, and to celebrate its launch there’s also a Triple J app created exclusively for Australian users, which includes past Hottest 100s and music news.

There’s three kind of accounts, ranging from Spotify Free where you don’t have to pay a penny but there is occasional advertising, to Premium, which is $11.99 a month and includes online and offline listening across devices.
