Sretsis SS12/13 Lookbook

A cross between Wednesday Adams and Lolita, girl next door and teen angst.

Founded by Thai sisters Pim, Matina and Kly Sukahuta, the Sretsis label has matured a lot since forming in 2002, but not at the expense of the label's trademark feminine charm. Now their loyal cross-continent following are about to go nuts over the SS12/13 lookbook — nuts being one of the many desert toppings that the label's collection pays tribute to. There's also graphic prints of cherries, bananas and enough hundreds and thousands to put an overzealous grandma's fairy bread to shame.

Despite their delicious inspiration however, there's no sickly-sweet overkill to be found, with the collection taking a more classic approach to colour. The palette's largely made up of black, white and navy, with occasional bursts of cherry red, peppermint and metallic. In typical Sretsis style, the silhouette is girlish and nostalgic alongside references to the 60s and 70s — wide-set halter-necks and floaty onesies, A-line skater skirts and mod capes. The collection is a cross between Wednesday Adams and Lolita, girl next door and teen angst.
