Street Style: Seoul Fashion Week

Seoul searching with Oyster.

Korean's major fashion event of the year, Seoul Fashion Week is happening right now. You wouldn't know it — the international press coverage of the international-standard event is notoriously low, because the country uses the search engine Naver more than they use Google. The run off effect is that a lot of access to and information about Fashion Week stays in Seoul and isn't translated into English. Sad face. Veteran designers like Lie Sang Bong and rad talents like Park Seung Gun of pushBUTTON and Im Seonoc are showing this year, but what we really want to see is the street style.

Melbourne photographer Alex Schoelcher is in Seoul, collecting his favourite looks from around town this week. Because we are lame find Seoul puns to be incredibly funny, we've included a few in our street style commentary. Hope you don't take umbrage. Sorry in advance. We're calling it — Seoul kids have the best fashionz. <3 우리는 서울을 사랑 해요!
