Terry Richardson Exhibits at Colette
And makes 30 life-size cardboard cut-outs of himself.
Terry Richardson - he of the glasses, mutton chops and tats - is notorious both in front of, and behind, the camera. His recently-released book Mom Dad, which has a corresponding exhibition of the same name currently showing at Paris boutique Colette, explains SO MUCH. The images depict Terry's father, Bob Richardson, throughout his gradual decline into madness and paranoia...

And Terry's mother, a colourful and uncoy Californian, gives the finger as easily as a cheesy, gap-toothed grin, unfazed by an accident that left her partially paralysed...

For the exhibition, Richardson also took the liberty of making thirty life-size cardboard cut-outs of himself, which we hope is a tongue-in-cheek jab at his critics who call him narcissistic. Imagine a world where thirty Terry Richardson clones roamed free... it's a slightly worrying thought, but it does make for a mildly amusing video. Watch Richardson run around his own likeness to the blaring horns of the William Tell Overture below. We don't even know anymore.
Colette is also currently stocking a wide range of Terry Richardson merchandise, from 'Terry For President' baseball caps, to skate decks, teddy bears and even replicas of his signature flannelette shit. The exhibition will run until November 5.
