Therese Rawsthorne SS12/13 Lookbook

Jess Gold, pastels and flowers.

Therese Rawsthorne was missed at Fashion Week this year, but the label's SS12/13 lookbook has just arrived making up for any absence on the runway. Therese's signature 'relaxed shirting' element is of course key in this collection — but hey, we're not complaining! Do you see how comfortable yet respectable those shirts look? There's pastel tones of lilac, lemon, glacier blue and peachy-pink, and muted metallics that are more mature than attention-seeking. We're also quite liking those florals.

"The collections was inspired by a photograph by Shomei Tomatshu of a prostitute in Nagoya in 1958. The modernity of the image really struck me and I’ve tried to translate it throughout the collection in dropped shoulder lines, big easy shapes and clean graphic prints. We’ve used some beautiful Italian fabrics like foil printed jersey and vintage lurex, which, mixed back with crushed cottons &and vintage-washed viscose, is a perfect balance of high/low which is how I really love to dress," the designer told Oyster.

Starring Jess Gold and shot by Bec Parsons, the lookbook is entirely pleasant to stare at, with art direction and layout by Radge.
