TLC Want You To Help Fund Their Final Album
And have a sleepover.
Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas and Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins of legendary girl group TLC want to make a new album without any annoying
record labels scrubs. The pair, who have recieved revival requests from fans since the passing of Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, launched a Kickstarter campaign this week.
The women responsible for the soundtrack to your life in the 90s (and every Friday night since) are determined to deliver new R&B gold.
"We owe so much of our success to you. Your loyalty and support throughout the past 20 years motivates us to do our best work," the campaign page reads.
"Our final album will stay true to the TLC sound, always confronting the real issues and life experiences that we all must face every single day, everywhere."
Fans will receive sweet rewards for contributing to the campaign. Five bucks gets you an exclusive remix, $15 an album, $250 a customised TLC voicemail, $5000 a TLC sleepover and $7500 a professional photo shoot with TLC. #Goals.
Chilli told Billboard that Left Eye lyrics would appear anywhere on the album, but added: "I'm not going to say 'no' because we're open to it. But at the end of the day, everyone knows how much we love our sister. You go to our show, you feel her presence."
