Top 10 Girls of NYFW: GIF Edition

New York Fashion Week introduces the faces to watch for the rest of the international shows to follow — London, Milan and Paris. These are the models we loved at New York, and will see doing the laps on the rest of the SS13 circuit. Get to know the best girls better here — from Oyster coverstar Lindsey Wixson, to Australian teens Julia Nobis and Ruby Jean, to brand new talent fresh out of the Ukraine.

Best Oyster Cover Girl: Lindsey Wixson 
Lindsey is an Aries who was born in Kansas, USA. She gave a thumbs up after falling over on the Versace runway last year, and wore Jason Wu to her prom. She is signed to Marilyn and has walked in 10 shows so far this season. She also starred on the cover of Oyster #95.

Best Cool Girl: Tilda Lindstam

Tilda is a Pisces who was born in Boras, Sweden. She was discovered when she was 11 and is now signed to IMG. Her favourite swear word is 'bloody hell', when she was a kid she wanted to be an astronaut and the first thing she does when she gets to Paris is eating a HUGE baguette while listening to The Buzzcocks. So far this season she has walked in 14 shows.

Best Comeback: Liberty Ross

Liberty is a Libra whose father opened a roller disco on Venice Beach called Flippers, loved by Queen and Prince. Her hometown is London but she now resides in Malibu. She was discovered by Corinne Day on Portobello Road when she was 13 and started working with Mario Testino at 19. She is signed to New York Model Management, and appeared alongside Abbie Cornish in Madonna's film W.E. And we're not even going to mention that Kirsten Stewart thing.

Best New Redhead: Irina Kravchenko 
Irina is from Ukraine, who is signed to Ford. This is her first season, and she has already opened the show for Alexander Wang and walked in nine other shows.

Best Legs from Bike Riding: Bette Franke
Bette is a Sagittarius who was born in Heemskerk, which is in the Netherlands. She was discovered when she was 14 while shopping with her mum in Amsterdam and is now represented by DNA. Her boyfriend's name is Bob. She appears in the Valentino and Hermes Spring campaigns, and is the new face of NARS. So far this season she has walked in 19 shows.

Best Aussie Opener: Ruby Jean Wilson
Ruby is a Libra who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland but moved to Terrigal on Australia's Central Coast and grew up there since she was 14. When she was a kid she wanted to be a popstar, psychologist or a nutritionist. She is represented by Priscillas in Australia (who signed her when she emailed them some photos) and Ford in New York. Her favourite fellow model is Agyness Deyn, she recently bleached her eyebrows, and she opened and closed Marc Jacobs' SS13 show.

Best Girl with a Piercing: Marte Mei van Haaster 
Marte is a Taurus who was born in Amsterdam. She was scouted when she was 17, and is represented by IMG. She recently met Bill Cunningham and her dream country to visit is somewhere "where they have loads of forests and speak English and where it's not too hot and not too cold — probably Ireland or New Zealand." She has walked in 9 shows so far this season.

Best Dirty Blonde: Julia Nobis
Julia was born in Bondi, Sydney and was discovered when she was wearing her Rose Bay uniform. She was our cover girl for Oyster #88, and last season she walked the most shows out of any international model, coming in at 73 shows. She can do the Melbourne Shuffle and is signed to Ford.

Best New Parisian: Marine Deleeuw
Marine was born in Valenciennes, Nord-Pas de Calais, which is in the north of France. She is signed to Ford and has walked 10 shows this season. 

Best Girl with a Combover: Liu Wen
Liu is an Aquarius who was born in China. She is represented by Marilyn, and in 2009 she became the first Asian model to walk in a Victoria's Secret show. Her model BFF is Constance Jablonski, and her fashion week guilty pleasure is eating ice cream. She has already walked in 18 SS13 shows.
