Jeremy Scott's collections are always up there with our most anticipated presentations for NYFW. He brings colour when others are subdued, a sense of humour when everyone else seems to be austere. This season is no exception, and is shaping up to be one of our favourite offerings of his yet. We went backstage before the show to talk to the ever-flamboyant designer to capture some of his INCREDIBLE beauty looks.
Telling Oyster "I really was just inspired by the internet and the computer itself" this inspiration carried on from the garments (which included screen saver and keyboard prints) to the hair and make-up direction, such as the flashing, circuit board style bindis, bordered by more neon, neo-tribal face embellishments. The crimped, candy-floss coloured hair and Slurpee-blue lips completed the cybergoth-gets-a-Tumblr look. Bart Simpson – "the ultimate teen icon" – was also one of Scott's muses this FW12 season, officially making him one of the coolest, and funnest, designers out.
