Vivid Creative Sydney Program Released

A program of events focused on exploring the capacity of the creative industries.

As part of Vivid Sydney Festival is Vivid Creative Sydney (30 May - 12 June), a program of events focused on exploring the capacity of the creative industries to shape the society and economy of the future. It seeks to do this through a series of discussions and debates, aimed at the stimulation and dissemination of ideas.

The program 8 some of the most sterling voices of the creative industries from both Australia and abroad, with events hosted at Sydney's premier cultural landmarks: the MCA and the Sydney Opera House. Standout participants include Fabien Riggall, founder of Future Shorts and Secret Cinema; Ben Briand, winner of Cannes Young Director Award; Matthew Stinchcomb, the EU Director of Etsy; post-production company Fuel VFX; and Design is Kinky founders Murray Bell and Andrew Johnstone.

Vivid Creative Sydney Director Jess Scully has commented that this year's program 'gives audiences the opportunity to connect with the ideas that will shape tomorrow's society, network with the sharpest industry minds, and be inspired by the city in a celebration of creativity.' Complementing the speakers will be a series of live music showcases, parties, film screenings and social events, due for announcement in the coming weeks.

The full list of speakers and events is available at the Vivid Creative Sydney website, with event registration opening at 9am on Monday 2 May.
