Best Coast x Nirvana

Best Coast took their lo-fi surf-pop sound to Belgium last Saturday and gave their fans a bit of a treat —a cover of the gritty, swoony 'About a Girl,' originally by Kurt Cobain et al.
"We'll play a Nirvana cover now. Feel free to film it," Bethany Cosentino apparently said. And so this video was born. An obedient audience member filmed it, and it is now a part of The Internet for your secondary pleasure.
It has been speculated that the timely cover, performed a few days prior to the 21st (!) birthday of Nevermind, acted as something of a tribute to the milestone — even though the song was not actually on that album (but rather on 1984's Bleach).
In any case — ballsy move, Best Coast. Honourable mentions go out to to Bobb Bruno for shredding pretty sick at 1:28 and Cosentino for being as non-Cobain as possible with that top knot. Courtney Love has not yet made comment.
