Watch: Preen's Resort 2013 Film
A collection inspired by Jeff Koons' neo-floral artworks.
Often when you hear the word 'floral', you're tempted to think of tea dresses, decoupage, and other stuff that old ladies like. But this is the new wave, people. Wake up and smell the hydrangeas. Preen's Resort collection is a prime example of an über-modern take on graphic flower prints, suitably inspired by the artwork of Jeff Koons, famous for his floral sculptures and installations, metallic balloon animals, and even a sculpture that could crush you).
To celebrate the new collection, designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi have created a film. Starring the extremely tall Valerija Kelava and directed by Nick Dorey, the abstract florals and kaleidoscopic colours of the garments on display are in perfect contrast to the subtle and unassuming structure of the pieces.
