NYC rap ledge Princess Nokia has a deep connection with her city. It's stoops provided the perf spot for her write mad tracks and her new documentary Destiny goes through it all.
Put together by The Fader and directed by Orian Barki, the short doc provides 17 minutes of the Princess cruising through her local haunts, recording her stuff, and chatting about her background before she became an MC.
She talks super fondly about her 1992 project, "I had a lot of fun fucking making that record I'll be honest with you, because I got to rap again… A lot of people used to ask me 'Why don't you rap? Or why didn't you continue rapping?' And I wasn't ready. I'm ready now." And we're so damn glad she is because take a look at this:
