Watch: Van She x Advanced Style

Awesome seniors discuss what happiness means to them.

What makes you happy? Is it the small things in life, the crunch of crisp autumn leaves underfoot, compliments from strangers, the smell of freshly cut grass, the first swim of summer? Personally, I find happiness in pizza, bed socks, solitude and the internet (preferably when applied simultaneously), but it varies for everyone. As part of a new project, NY-based blogger Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style has teamed up with Van She to explore this universal human emotion, inspired by the band's latest album, Idea of Happiness.

In the three videos (presented by Modular), Ari invites some of the women featured on his blog to discuss what happiness means to them. "They all have unique approaches to personal style and share a positive outlook on life and aging," he says of his selection.

In the first video to be released, the Valerie and Jean from the blog 'The Idiosyncratic Fashionistas' explain all the things that bring joy to their lives — from crosswords, to getting dressed in the morning, to not forgetting things, and sleeping next to their cats (I feel you on that last one).

This week Van She touch down in the US to play their first live shows in the country since 2006. See dates below:

Saturday 13 October — Tammany Hall, New York [TICKETS]
Wednesday 17 October — HEARTCOMIX + Dim Mak Presents @ Dim Mak Studios, Los Angeles [TICKETS]
