Win a Double Pass to the MCA ARTBAR Opening!
Like art? Like partying?
Like art? Like partying? If you answered 'yes' to at least one of the aforementioned, then you'll like the recently-reopened MCA's new venture, ARTBAR. Held monthly, each ARTBAR event will be curated by a different artist, each running for one night only. The first ARTBAR opens next Friday on May 25, and will be curated by local photographer/video artist Justene Williams whose TV installation 'Crutch Dance' (above) is currently on show at the museum.
ARTBAR's launch coincides with the opening night of Vivid, meaning you'll have a prime view of the light installations, as well as being the first to experience ARTBAR. Plus, DJs Charlie Chux (Abercrombie), Perfect Snatch (Gay Bash, Shameless), Touch Sensitive (Van She) and Tyson Koh (Loose Joints FBI & Clambake) are all playing! Tickets are on sale now.
We've got two double passes to the first ARTBAR event next Friday to give away. Yew!
All you have to do is email [email protected] with your name and a contact number, along with an answer to the following question: "If you could choose any artist — dead or alive — to curate an MCA ARTBAR event, who would it be?"
The competition closes at midnight on Tuesday May 22 (that's next week) and the winners will be contacted the following day.
