This season, Ellery — evidently a label for power ladies — presented a new collection by way of a four-room presentation with digital and live music components. Enough about the way the collection was shown, though, because the way it was put together is way more important.
Ellery’s signature silhouettes, which provide a certain strength through broadness, were ever present. As were swishy pants, unique textiles, accented tailoring and lots of shirring. It was all held together by the accessories: oversized ornaments hanging from ears balanced masculine jackets, shoe ribbons tied around pant ankles was both editorial and utilitarian, 70s disco collars added length where width would have been overpowering. The gallery above shows it all.
