Loewe Launches Limited Edition Bags For Elephant Crisis Fund Ft. Beadwork By Samburu Women
Good work.
One of Loewe’s most recognisable and loved designs, the lil elephant bag, has been specially adorned and made in limited quantities in support of the Elephant Crisis Fund and the Knot on My Planet campaign. All proceeds from sales are being donated, and will help to provide “rapid, catalytic support for the most effective projects designed to stop the killing of elephants, thwart traffickers and end the demand for ivory.” This is good work.
The brand went to Kenya to work with women from the Samburu Workshop, who have the skills to produce really beautiful beadwork. This beadwork features on the limited run of bags by way of intricate charms and dangly bits that just look so cool, see:
The collection will launch exclusively on Loewe.com and in Bergdorf Goodman on July 16. It’s good to know that the Elephant Crisis Fund runs on a 100% donation model and every dollar raised is used directly on elephant conservation projects in the most critical areas of Africa and Asia. Convinced.
