Marques’Almeida Is Streetcasting Their Next Show

Could it be you?

It’s no secret that we love Marques’Almeida. The London brand covered Oyster Issue 113 and we’ve been frothing over every collection they’ve turned out since. One of our favorite details has always been the label’s shows, in which designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida have always focused on inclusivity, often sending members of the design team and Marques’Almeida interns down the runway in their clothes.

Now, the brand has decided to make things even realer, casting IRL people for their upcoming show.

Earlier this week, they posted on Instagram calling for models of all shapes, sizes, colors and genders (or lack thereof) to walk in a presentation of key archival pieces for A/W ’19. All you have to do is submit a photo of yourself using the hashtag #MAFamilyCast, after which you’ll be invited to a casting party on July 4.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been training for this ever since ANTM hit the air waves in 2003. May the odds be ever in your favor.
