Telfar Is Teaming Up With The Gap

“Gap created the blueprint for my brand because the Gap person is literally everybody.”

Just a week after dropping their Fall 2020 collection in Florence, Telfar has announced another big drop for 2020: a collaboration with the Gap. The 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner announced the partnership with a banger party in Paris at the Gap store on the Rue Tronchet in Paris. And because it was a Telfar party, SOPHIE, Yves Tumor and Sega Bodega all performed.

As for the collaboration, designer Telfar Clemons is thrilled about the upcoming line.

“What I do is about the idea of ‘normal’ –– and changing that –– because that is when you change real life,” he said in a statement. “Gap created the blueprint for my brand because the Gap person is literally everybody: every possible race, gender, rich, poor.”

“I want to take that idea to the year 2020,” he continued, “and to take my clothes outside of just fashion capitals and boutiques and actually make them available for everybody.”

We’re envisioning killer basics and a whole lot of denim.

Can’t wait.
