LOEWE and Knot On My Planet Bring Back The Elephant Bag

Sales proceeds will be donated to the Elephant Crisis Fund 🐘

Stay relevant while saving the elephants! LOEWE brings back their iconic elephant bag for their annual collaboration with Knot On My Planet, a campaign that combines fashion with the mission to secure a future for elephants.

The collaboration’s rendition of the bag is constructed from red-and-blue traditional Shuka fabric. Originating in East Africa, Shuka is widely known for its rich colours, thickness and durability. The hand-woven strap is made by a female artisan collective from the Samburu Trust in Kenya.

Organizations like the WWF are predicting that African Elephants will be extinct by 2040 if drastic actions aren’t taken today. So, 100% of the sales proceeds from the bag will be donated to the Elephant Crisis Fund, a joint initiative from Save the Elephants and the Wildlife Conservation Network.

There will only be 300 editions of the bag from this year’s collaboration, and it goes on sale from today, March 25, at Loewe stores and mytheresa.com.
