MAC Are Actually Going To Do That Aaliyah Collection

We’re feelin’ MAC right now because they saw what the people wanted and they made it come true. Back in 2015 Aaliyah fan Jennifer Risinger launched a petition to get your baby girl her own collection, and even Missy Elliott, Monie Love, and Aaliyah’s stylists backed it.

Jennifer had been chatting to Aaliyah’s brother Rashad Haughton about the collab and, knowing that Aaliyah was a fan of the brand (her fave lipsticks were Chelsea and Cherry), he helped make it happen.

In a statement, MAC said: “We admire Aaliyah because she was a not only an exceptionally talented artist, but a risk-taker and innovator who still influences the worlds of music, fashion and beauty. She continues to be a role model whose legacy inspires us all to follow our hearts. We are honoured the family trusted MAC to bring Aaliyah and her fans’ vision to life. We made a lot of people really happy today and that feels good.”

The collection comes some time in 2018.
