Ur Girl Grimes Details Plans For Final Album On Her “Shit Label”

No bad vibes tho.

Grimes seems to be having a hard time at her current record label. About two months ago she posted a pic to insta accompanied by a progress report on her new album (“spring but realistically, fall”). Soon enough, she changed the caption to “Welp no music any time soon after all music industry is trash,” which has since been deleted, but the comments of support remain.

But, in new, more exciting news, Grimes has detailed that she’s “back in the studio making a million beats,” working on “one final album for my shit label and then my first album on a label of my choosing which I’m crazy stoked about eeeee. Or I might go fully independent, researching options. The second one will be extreme darkness and chaos, the first will be highly collaborative and most glorious light.” Of course, this caption has also now been amendedย but we are very stoked for something highly collaborative as well as extreme darkness and chaos.
