The Full Trailer For Alexander McQueen Doco Is Here And It’s Wild

“I want people to be afraid of the women I dress.”

McQueen, a hero to so many, is the subject of a new documentary titled McQueen. And with the first full trailer we have real deal goosebumps.

A pioneer, completely, especially with fashions current digital obsession — when thinking about CGI models like Lil Miquela and drones carrying handbags down the runway — he famously approached the idea early on with robots painting dresses and a hologram of Kate Moss.

He also grabbed feminism by the balls when he famously said “I want people to be afraid of the women I dress.” He carried an undeniable power and seemed to be a rock that couldn’t be broken. The documentary explores this, and of course explores his natural vulnerability — the designer, tortured, hung himself at age 39. “The fragility of life, it can all be discarded quite easily,” McQueen says into the camera. “Then you’re gone.”
