Cher and Meryl Streep Saved a Woman from Sexual Assault [Watch]

We’re sure you’ll understand that it’s facts when we say that Cher is some kind of hero. And Meryl Streep, yeah, she got you too. This week, further proven, as the story of the two of them saving a woman from sexual assault has been talked about in a little more depth.

While promoting Mama Mia! Here We Go Again, which they both star in, Cher appeared on James Corden’s The Late Late Show and explained it all. They went out for ice cream together when they heard screaming and saw a woman getting her clothes ripped off by a “gigantic man”.

“Meryl starts screaming, I start screaming,” Cher says. “We run towards this gigantic man, he turns at starts running towards us, just out of nowhere, we split and he runs through us.” Heroes.
