What’s tall, chiseled and absolutely adorable? Acauã Diniz, ofc. The Sydney-based model, who grew up in São Paulo, is right now dominating our feeds and our hearts. With a follow count as strong as his lewks, there’s a high chance he’s all over yours too.
Repped by Kult in Aus and shot by some of our favourite photographers — Byron Spencer, Darren Luk and now Chloë Nour — it’s a total pleasure to intro you to the dude with eyes like James Franco, a body like D’Angelo, and a heart that is tender and cute.
Name: Acauã Diniz
Star sign: Virgo
Where are you from and where do you live now?
I’m originally from São Paulo, Brazil, but I left 3 and a half years ago to live in Sydney and I haven’t been back since. Sydney is a paradise and I love it here.
What does ‘Australia’ mean to you?
Most beautiful place ever and it’s what I consider home.
What does ‘Bonds’ mean to you?
Comfort and style! I’m actually wearing my Chesty Bonds right now. I have so many of them — every colour — it makes me look stronger [laughs].
What do you like to do/hope to do outside of modelling?
I would love to try acting or something related to television… or even styling or fashion design. Maybe all of them!
What’s your favourite time of day?
I don’t really have a favourite time. I try to enjoy every second, I try to make the most of it.
What inspires you most?
Being outside and moving my body gets me inspired — I love nature and trees. Inspiration just happens when you’re least expecting it… I see something, or hear something, or experience something that moves me.
What songs or albums are soundtracking your life atm?
Any personal beliefs or values that are meaningful to you?
I believe in the power of the universe. I believe that I can get whatever I want, I just need to be positive and I will attract it.
What celebrity or person from history do you have a crush on?
I’ve always had a crush on Evangeline Lilly, does that count? [Laughs] If it doesn’t, I’ll have to say Cleopatra.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I wanna be myself!
What scares you most?
I’ve been away from my parents and family for almost four years, so the fact that I can possibly be away from them for longer scares me a lot.
Best piece of advice you ever received?
Maybe the advice that I should love myself and trust myself and never give up on my dreams.
The best gift you’ve ever received?
My mother paid for my flights to leave my home town, and my dad paid for my English school here in Sydney. At that time, I couldn’t speak English, so they gave me the best gift ever. It changed my life.
What’s your secret to giving the best gift?
I believe that the best gift should be an experience and not really some object.
What is a skill you wish you possessed?
I wish I could play violin and keyboard, but this is something I can learn — and I will. Hopefully soon!
Best YouTube clip you’ve ever seen?
It has to be Kanye West’s ‘Runaway’. It’s visually incredible.
Have you ever been in love?
I am in love.
When was the last time you said, “I love you,” and meant it?
My girlfriend Miki is coming to Sydney from Paris today. She called me from the airport a few hours ago, I told her that I love her.
