Gucci continues to tap new and old artists who create work that really means something to their customers and clients, this time nabbing subcultural king Harmony Korine to capture the Pre-Fall 2019 collection.

Shot in Harmony’s confronting style; models pose with hyper snacks, selfie-takers and DSLR tourists who may rather call themselves ‘travellers’. The textural backdrops become forefront with the realisation that the campaign is shot within the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii — a decision made by the house with the intention of preserving and promoting the history of these ancient Roman cities, and bringing them to the attention of a fresh new audience.
