The Boy Erased trailer is here and it will legit wreck you. Starring Lucas Hedges as a teen who has been outed to his religo parents, played by Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe, and who has been sent to a very effed conversion program.
Joel Edgerton directed this one, and he’s also in it — he runs the program. It also stars Troye Sivan, Joe Alwyn, Cherry Jones, Xavier Dolan and more.
It’s based on a true story, but we can all probably agree that this is based on many true stories. It’s pretty painful stuff.
