The Nike x Ambush Collaboration Is For Ladies Who Rave

Move it.

Yoon Ahn of Ambush gets it. Her collaboration with Nike has gotta be one of the most anticipated of the year, and it’s likely because her grasp on fashion wear and life wear is unparalleled. With her own label she knows exactly where to push both form and function — everything is fresh, everything is comfortable, everything works. And that’s just how the Nike x Ambush capsule collection has turned out.

“When you live a busy lifestyle, the last thing you want is to think about how your clothes are uncomfortable or not functional,” Yoon says. “The new lifestyle that a lot of us live is not so fragmented. Before, how you dressed in the morning wasn’t carried into nighttime. Now we move through space and time more fluidly.”

The collection includes coats — including one very good faux fur situation — a dri-fit bodysuit, fleece pants, crop tops and a really great take on her favourite Air Max 180. All of it is made for women who move; on the streets, sure, but we’re getting a heavy dance floor vibe via rave/utility cuts and super future metallics.

“The Air Max 180 is the first pair of sneakers I ever bought with my own money. I wanted it so badly, having seen it in the pages of a magazine,” she says. And so she reworked it with design elements from the Air Zoom Flight after visiting the Nike archive and falling for the Glove wrap.

The apparel capsule is available from December 6, and the Air Max 180 comes in Autumn 2019.
